It’s good to make others aware of the horrors in the world, you’re right, but it’s vital to also show them the beauty too or else they’ll become desensitized and not know what all the fuss is about anyway.

I’m glad you have your special friend - Joker. Everybody needs someone who’ll listen. But 20 animals? That’s a lot of ears! I bet you have a rare old time with so many ‘friends’, especially as you’ve rescued them and are giving them a life they must never have imagined. Good on you, Brenda.

Mosquito, I’m pleased you ‘kind of’ liked my post, but I’m afraid you’re talking through the back of your neck. See, I don’t mind people disagreeing with me and telling me I’m talking rot, but in order to do that they have to provide an intelligent, logical argument. Not to mention, be prepared for me to lavish equal praise upon their thoughts!

Light and dark? Balance? Yes, I know that. Lao-Tsu said, ‘To see beauty as beauty means one must also know ugliness; to see good as good means one must also know evil.’ (You obviously haven’t read my book as a character uses that very quote to illustrate a point.) You see, I am not just pandering to hemp-wearing, vegetable-eating, ‘the sky is falling’ loons, here!

As Plato said, “A wise man speaks because he has something to say; a fool speaks because he has to say something.” (Again, used in my book.) This isn’t just hot air I’m blowing! I know much of what I say will fall on deaf ears, and I don’t profess to know everything, to be some sort of guru, but if people can’t see any worth in any of my posts then there’s something seriously lacking in that person, not in my words.

Balance is all well and good, but you can’t put all the world’s attrocities down to ‘balance’ and so just let them carry on. You have to draw the line and fight at some point. Or should we just let racism, poverty, injustice continue because it ‘balances’ the work of all those pesky, bleeding heart, do-gooders?

So, I’m “cementing the doom of our society” and aiding the “disintegration of our evolution”? Yeah, right.

But the thing that surprises me most is why you placed such a disparaging comment on this particular post? It would be out of place on other posts, but here it just seems ridiculous.

well impressed. to highlight the white instead of the black. To bring to the forefront the positive instead of the negative!!!!

It’s a necessary in this life isn’t it?? And it will always brings cheer and applause from the populous, the mass, those who fight the dark and never realise that it is an intrinsic part of who we are.

There is no dark without light, no white without black. Balance is such an important truth in this world and those who strictly adhere to one view are equally at fault in the disintegration of our evolution, in their own misguided way, then those who have committed the most heinous crimes in society since time immemorial.

Thank you for this post, your view, as lovely and enlightening as it may seem, adds to cementing the doom of our society as we know it.

Forget Shakespeare, Hemmingway, Dickens… I wonder what works of genius could have been penned if only everyone was as great at writing words together as what you are like. (Oh…! Look at that! It’s easier to write like an illiterate imbecile than I thought!)

P.P.S. It is strange how it was this particular post that caught your eye with regards to my writing talent, or lack there of. Now far be it from me to suggest that upstanding Farley here is any kind of sicko, but it does seem a coincidence. After all, finding a post with a title like this ones must be like waking up Christmas morning and finding yourself in Santa’s grotto - if you’re a twisted pervert, that is.
