I'm afraid your comment slipped under my radar - Wordpress is supposed to notify me when new comments are posted but it doesn't always manage to do that.

Love? Sadly far too many people see that as some sugary emotion that's only good for third-rate romance novels you can pick up two for a buck in a bargain bin.

Rape, plunder and kill - now those are fine words, manyly words, words that people can really get their teeth into. Maybe that's why they take such words to heart and employ them in everyday life.

Yes, if only we could see the wonder in the world instead of opportunity for personal advancement.

Great comment, Jaylena. Thanks,
Steve

Liz, Denise, Roxann - thanks so much for your encouragement and support. You make all the hard work worthwhile!

And thank you, Carolyn. I'm pleased you find my work interesting - and I do try to be provocative at times as I find it's the easiest way to make people think. Selfish? Not at all - if only more people could be so open-minded.

Thanks, you guys,
Steve

Always intriguing, intellectually stimulating, and--on occasion--provacative...making for excelent reads. Sorry I was called away on urgent family matters and have just now been able to settle in and read this. I always enjoy your contributions for they result in my own growth...how selfish is that?! Keep the high octane coming, Steve!

Steve, great article again.
We as humans are the caretakers of the earth, animals, and each other. I believe this...but...we are not doing such a great job. We are greedy, selfish, lack emapthy for each other, rape, plunder, and kill our own kind, our earth and beautiful animals....all for power and greed. Is there an answer for any of this to get better. YES! It is a four letter word that we often misuse or don't use or cannot use for fear of what ever. It is LOVE. I have a video on my care2 page and it is called "Love Is The Answer"..that simple..not difficult. We just make it difficult..
Enough said by me today..
Much love and peace to all,
Jaylena :)

Okay, no more bribes for recommending my book, people. The free party is over! ;-)

DianeMarie, you’re too good to me! Thanks for the recommendation. Every little really does help, so your kind words are much appreciated.

You also make a very valid point. We take our ‘luxuries’ for granted. Look what utter ‘hell’ we are forced to live in if our water goes out for a day or there’s an electricity blackout! Oh boy, are we suffering then. Yes, we’re dreadfully spoilt.

What would we do if all that was taken away from us permanentlay AND we had barely a mouthful of food to eat a day?

Well, for one thing, I’m betting the suicide rate would skyrocket!

Let’s hope people do wake up in time.

Thanks,
Steve

Hi Steve,
Another great blog! I believe man does not want to know, it's easier to stay in your own little world and not think about what is going on all around us! Many are selfish and could care less, and , well, the rest of us, or most of us are spoiled, we can get what we want when we want it! We have no idea what it is like to go without....Just look at everyone still driving the big cars, suv's without giving a thought as to how much fuel they are wasting..etc.
It is very sad to think that the beauty of this world is slowly fading, and just a few care, is that enough? Can we wake up the others before it's to late?

DianeMarie

ps...I have read Steve's book, I recommend it to everyone, as Kim said, you will not be able to put this one down!

High praise for my book, Glenda! Thank you. [The cheque's in the mail ;-) ] But really, I'm thrilled to hear you enjoyed it. The scary thing is that all the environment/conservation stuff in there is true - one reason I felt it necessary to create this blog.

Yes, Kim, it's strange to think that if you mention 'mind controlling propaganda' to someone they'll think of Hitler and the Nazis, or one of the dictatorships imprisoning part of the world today... In reality they don't have to look any further than their own TV, do they - or their own belongings to see how well it works!

The only problem awareness-wise is, is it too little too late? Let's hope not and that others join the fray in sufficient numbers to neutralize this profiteering mentality that is driving the planet to ruin. Good points you've brought up there, Kim. Thank you.

As for my book, the cheapest place you'll get it is on my website, where there are sample chapters and you can pay with either your credit card or your Paypal account (you don't need a Paypal account to pay for something through Paypal, by the way - Paypal has an option so you can just use your credit card as at any other online store). Thanks for the interest, Kim. Here's the url: http://www.steve-n-lee.com

Apart from that, if your local book store doesn't stock it, they could order it for you. But even despite the shipping charges from my website, it'll cost you more and take longer to order it through a store as they'll charge you full list price not the discounted price you get on the site.

Do feel free to drop me a note and tell me what you think of it once you've read it. (But if you like my blog, you really will love my book.)

Thanks for the comments, everyone. Hope you're all having a great week so far,
Steve
